Adult Me (2021)

"Adult Me" is a video art short film from RISCUS GROUP THEATRE, conceived and directed by Lydia Xourafi. This artistic project focuses in the process of becoming an adult in the contemporary era; depicted through a playful atmosphere. The initial point of the project was stories of children and adults explaining their personal experiences from this sociopolitical progressive process. The images of two figures are moving in a mysterious playground, where the adult world is constructed in childhood spaces. The dreamy childishness is continuously disrupted through references to adult gestures and moves of the the "adult" figure. The interaction of the two figures is a building process of an adult identity, while the question of the distance setting apart "adult" and "me" arises. Adult Me won the Best Digital experience award at the 2022 Stockholm Fringe Festival
